[Bug]: API call /events show only python exception in 3008.2

What happened?

Observed in 3008.2 but not in 3006.x/3007.x. 3008.0/3008.1/3008.1-1/3008.1-2 are too broken to even investigate.

This uses a valid token. But the result is the same when using an invalid session token.
