missing python directory?

Thanks Dušan, I got your messages on AUR and the VSP list. Thanks for flagging this.
It's happening I assume because you don't have python installed and I set python as a merely optional dependency. I'm changing the PKGBUILD to copy the python dir only if it exists.

The install finishes with the line 130 of the PKGBUILD commented out, and the vsp starts ok. Unfortunately the software crashes as soon as VSPAero starts. Not sure if this is because of missing python stuff or some other thing. From analyzing the directory structures the python stuff should be from src/python_api/packages, right? I'll try copying that later today and see if that works.

OK, good to know. You can try that, but it might be that I should just set python as a non-optional dependency, and you should uncomment line 130, do pacman -S python, and try again. Let me know what happens.

It seems to be working, at least VLM; the panel method still crashes, not sure why.

All these mentioned problems is with python installed on my machine: "Python 3.13.2 (main, Feb 5 2025, 08:05:21) [GCC 14.2.1 20250128] on linux"

Could you try installing swig and then running makepkg again? I'd like to fix what went wrong for other Arch users.

installed swig and rebuilt the openvsp: 'pikaur -S --rebuild openvsp' which installed everything, including the python directory. Unfortunately the VSPAERO crashes:

Thanks a lot for testing this.
I know that error message, but have only received it in 3.42.x builds. 3.41.1 has not crashed like this for me so far.
At what point does VSPAERO crash, and does it crash with every model?
