[Feature Request] Area Naming

Description

Could you add the ability to draw areas? Like if there is a Mountain range, Cites, Ocean, etc.. Here is a idea of how it could work... You would draw a line on the map with dots and it will make shape of the selected area, then you name it, and you have a name on the map. This would be much better, instead of using pins for large areas.

you can draw text with the existing XaeroPlus worldmap drawing tool wherever you like, its not limited to lines.

i am familiar with the feature request though, its basically this mod: https://modrinth.com/mod/mapfrontiers

but mapfrontiers has a lot more features and dev hours put in regarding these things

Thanks for the reply, I completely forgot about that mod... Maybe I should try, but it would be nice to see if something similar added to xaero since I am invested in it , with all the pins and such. I would imagine this would be alot of work.

i mean, i have already built the core parts of the drawing tool

it supports lines, filled chunk squares, and text

so seems to me the request is more about the user interface

like how to help you create more complex shape geometry from lines specifically

i dont plan to support a lot of things in map frontiers like the server sided syncing and permissions and stuff

but that stuff is not really needed to do what you're asking for
