Unable to close Modal via overlay click or pressing ESC, after opening multiple Popovers consecutively

Description

When you have multiple Popovers inside a Modal and you open them consecutively via their triggers, before closing other open Popover first, the Modal can no longer be closed by either clicking overlay or pressing ESC. If the Modal does not have a dedicated close button, you'll be stuck and have to reload the page.
