Could you please be so kind to add spanish language support to the blinx addon?.
I'm mainly interested in Biblegateway and LBLA bible version.

The spanish list of books and common abbreviations from Logos is:

Hi @rsmozos, Thanks for your interest in the Blinx add-on!

I've created it several years ago and do not really have the time to any more to improve it. Would you know someone who'd be interested to add the Spanish support? It shouldn't be too difficult for someone with a little bit of programming experience.

(By the way, I'd hope that one day my JavaScript sibling project blinx.js could be used for a rewrite of this Word add-on...)

Hi @rsmozos, I had a look again at the code and the link you sent me. It shouldn't take very long to add Spanish. I may be able to do that sometime in the next few weeks, if you are still interested in using Blinx and if the newest version that I just uploaded works for you.

Hi @renehamburger, Thanks so much for your help. I try it again. I am using Word 365. When I open the example document "Example article with Bible links.doc", I am able to see the verses on their references. But when I converted to pdf, I only see the links to esvbible.org but not the verses' text. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Also, I'm not able to use biblegateway, which I need to use the spanish versions.

Hi Ricardo,
I'm afraid the Bible reference tooltips are not normally available after conversion to PDF. That was a function I had started to test a few years ago with a custom Acrobat plugin, but it never worked perfectly.
Which error are you encountering when trying to use biblegateway?

Thanks so much for your interest. I am able to see the tooltips in word using ALT-B with the ESV blible and esvbible.org. But I'm mainly interested in seen them in the pdf. Is it possible to use that plugin in Word 365?

Im using Microsoft Word 365 with these settings for Blinx:
Language: English
Bible version: KJV
Preferred text source: biblegateway.com
Online Bible for links: Biblegateway.com
Tooltip length limit: 5000

Hi @rsmozos,
the plugin I mentioned was for Adobe Acrobat (not Adobe Acrobat Reader), but it was very much work-in-progress. And it requires a Word document in which the Bible references are already linked with the Blinx Word add-on.

I'll check at some time if I can reproduce your error. It's probably related to using Internet Explorer to get the passage from BibleGateway.

You could try installing the free version of Logos, which includes a KJV, and use Logos instead of BibleGateway as the text source.

I have Logos 8 and the KJV installed. It is called KJV1900, I couldn't find the KJV. Do I need to set any environmental variable?
When I try to use Logos it gives the following error:

Setting the text source setting to Logos should be all that's needed. I haven't encountered this specific error before. Would you mind doing the following steps to get more details on the error? 1. Open blinx.dot directly (with right click and selecting "open" rather than the default "new") 2. Open the VBA editor with ALT-F11. 3. Try to do the same Bible reference linking you tried before. The code execution should stop at the point where the issue occurred. If you could send a screenshot to me of the editor when that happens, I might be able to find and resolve the issue.

The function finds logos as it loads when the blink is called. I used AltGr-B
I found the line where it breaks.

In function:
