I noticed someone added a "con" for yamdwe at https://www.dokuwiki.org/tips:mediawiki_to_dokuwiki_converter
Slow for much mediawiki content
The main issue for speed is probably number of revisions. It would be pretty easy to add a --quick command line option that just exported the most recent revision of each page, or maybe even a --since DATE option to only export revisions newer than a certain date.
Although maybe that's overkill for most people. After all, you generally export a wiki once and then get on with something else.
Please comment and let me know if you've found yamdwe to be unusably slow!
