I’d like “No project” to be the first item in the web/desktop new-thread project picker rather than the last. It’s a good starting point for a lot of conversations, and it’s easy to miss below a long list of projects.
PR #14526 implements this along with Cmd/Ctrl+0 for “No project” while the picker is open. I think giving it a dedicated shortcut is reasonable given how useful it is as a starting point, and Cmd/Ctrl+0 is otherwise unused in this picker context.
Automated triage closed the PR because the shortcut change needed explicit maintainer approval. Could a maintainer approve that direction so the PR can be reconsidered?
However, the PR also removed the existing global Cmd/Ctrl+Alt+N shortcut, which I don’t think is a smart decision—it should stay available alongside the new picker shortcut. If the additional shortcut isn’t wanted, just moving “No project” first would be good enough.
