I would like to start a general question thread in T3 Code without associating it with a project or repository.
My use case is asking standalone questions, researching ideas, and planning before choosing a codebase. Having to create a placeholder project just to ask a question adds friction and mixes unrelated conversations into project history.
Please add an obvious New general chat or No project option in the new-thread flow, with these conversations shown in a separate General/Chats section. General chats should keep normal provider and model selection but avoid loading repository-specific instructions or showing workspace-only controls.
Related: #5515 and #6529. The earlier issue is closed and the linked implementation PR was closed without merging, so I am posting this here to register continued interest in a discoverable, supported project-free chat option.
