support osx multi-arch builds

since this is technically quite simple (just add multiple -arch flags to the compile commands) and also cmake supports it natively (`CMAKE_OSX_ARCHITECTURES`) it would be nice to add this. would be treated a little like release/debnug variants, maybe with some more care taken that all dependencies follow along
