Mode "Movie" gets lost whenever device is turned off and on again

I use adapter version 1.0.14

Twinkly "Candies" 200 (Hearts)

Whenever I power cycle the device via "on" attribute, the mode of the device changes back from "Movie" to "Effect" and the device plays the default rainbow instead of my "Movie". This does not happen when I power on the device via the Twinkly app.
I tried the setting "Modus wechseln nach Zustandsänderung" but this does not change anything in the behavior.
