Hiding status bar bottom line?

Hi, and first of all apologies if this has been covered before, and/or should have been plain obvious to me!
I'm wondering whether there is (or, if not, could be?) an option to hide the bottom line of the status bar - that is, at least in my setup, the line underneath the one where variations are shown when typing.
At present this bottom line doesn't really do all that much, for me anyway, in that on the right there's a selector to change keyboard input methods (which personally I don't really need, and I could invoke it by other means), and on the left there's a down-arrow which allows both lines of the status bar to be temporarily hidden until typing is resumed. On my setup the remainder of the line is blank.
So yes, would it be possible in fact simply to do away with that line?

Looks like a Titan 2 with Android 16 to me.
You haven't taken the Tutorial, haven't you :))

You can have another look at the Tutorial via Settings -> Advanced -> Show Tutorial.
