We planned to run our own instance of BTC Pay Server in the future -- but from our existing Stripe crypto payments, there is a drastic amount of fraud, spam, and abuse ongoing with crypto payments, so we may likely just stick with Stripe for now. Thanks for posting the issue. We may revisit this late this year. |

Just out of couriousity, what kind of fraud would you expect if you accepted cash by mail as suggested above? |

It's too much to accept cash by mail right now with our small team, it's also a vector. Fraud would be similar to existing crypto fraud. |

We admire Mullvad's work, as they accept crypto and cash, however they really don't need to similar customer support and VPN's aren't as direct a means to impersonate (e.g. reputable domains without DMARC p=reject), phish, send malware, etc. We're already overwhelmed with abuse and maintaining our IP reputation as is. We'll revisit this late this year likely. |

Currently, Forward Email only accepts fiat payments and USDC (via Stripe), the latter is pseudonymous at best. As a privacy-focused service, it is important to provide the option to pay and use the service completely anonymously either via Monero or mailing cash, the former being more preferable and accessible of course. Services like Trocador or NOWPayments are used by other privacy-centric services for cryptocurrency payments and donations, a one-time address to add credit to a user's account is also a potential solution.
