Hello all, I have installed the latest version of esp-kvm onto a waveshare-p4-wifi6 board via the web flasher and can see output in the log including where it sets up a wifi hotspot but I can't seem to connect to it with a few devices I've tried as it always asks for a password but from what I've read it's not supposed to require a password for initial setup. Does anyone know what I'm missing here? Thanks in advance and please forgive a github noob for any indiscretions :) Gary |

Looks like a bug. Will check it and fix it soon. |

Yes, it is a bug on my side. The open hotspot only worked on boards with an Ethernet port. The ESP32-P4-WIFI6 has none, so it starts straight in hotspot mode, and that path made up a random password and printed it only to the serial log on the very first boot. It is fixed in 0.57.4: on a board with no network port the hotspot stays open until the console password is set, as the README says. The same form then asks how the device reaches a network - your Wi-Fi, or its own hotspot with a password you pick - and restarts into it. Flash 0.57.4 from https://espkvm.io/flash/ with "erase" ticked, join ESP-KVM-xxxx, and the console is at http://192.168.4.1/ (admin / admin). |
