Hi everyone,
I’ve been working on an experimental native Apache Guacamole protocol plugin for ESPKVM.
The main goal is simple: I want to have all of my ESPKVM devices in one place, inside Guacamole, with each device available as its own connection.
Instead of opening every ESPKVM device separately by IP address, I can now open Guacamole and select the ESPKVM device I want to access.
So far, the experience is very close to accessing ESPKVM directly on the local network. The native ESPKVM interface is shown inside Guacamole, and keyboard/mouse, USB OTG, settings, H.264 and MJPEG video are working.
The plugin uses a native guacd protocol implementation, not VNC, RDP, a browser VM, or another remote desktop layer.
Current features include:
Native ESPKVM protocol inside Apache Guacamole
Multiple ESPKVM devices as separate Guacamole connections
Native ESPKVM web interface
Keyboard and mouse / USB OTG control
ESPKVM authentication
REST API bridge
H.264 video
MJPEG video
Credentials handled on the Guacamole server side
My long-term goal is to make this a simple way to centrally manage and access many ESPKVM devices from one place.
This is still an early experimental release, so there may be bugs or compatibility issues. If anyone wants to test it, finds a bug, or wants to improve something, issues and pull requests are very welcome.
