Hi everyone,

Hi everyone,

I teach programming and previously used GitHub Classroom. I needed a simple
way to maintain one private, organization-owned repository per student and
distribute new course material without overwriting students' commits, so I
built GitHub Course Sync.

It is a small, free, MIT-licensed PowerShell toolkit that:

• creates and secures one private repository per student;
• distributes updates from a private teacher-controlled base repository;
• preserves student commits by synchronizing through Git branches and pull requests;
• lets students use the ordinary Pull, Commit, and Push workflow without forks
  or upstream remotes.

This is an independent community project and an early release. It is not a
complete LMS or autograding platform, and it is not affiliated with GitHub.
Teachers should first test it with a dummy organization and student account.
