What are the free mode limits, and is it time-limited?

I want to evaluate a couple of AppJars before making a case for buying them. What exactly does the free mode restrict — is it a time-limited trial, or are features disabled?

Free mode is not time-limited — you can run an AppJar in free mode indefinitely, and it is not a trial that expires.

What it restricts is of two kinds, and it varies per AppJar:

• How much you can run through it — a number of records, or a number of operations per day
• Some capabilities, which are reserved for a licensed installation

A couple of behaviours worth knowing, because they differ:

• Email Manager does not drop what exceeds its daily limit. Messages over the count are queued and go out when the counter resets, rather than failing.
• Activity Log does drop them. Log events past the daily limit are discarded, with a warning displayed.

Daily limits reset at midnight in the server's configured timezone. Record limits are cumulative and do not reset, but deleting records frees slots.

Installing a license lifts the restrictions with no code changes — you add the license file and restart.
