Native executables for Windows 11 ARM64

Hi, I bought a new laptop year ago - it's a Microsoft Copilot+ PC Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x with the new ARM64 Snapdragon X Elite CPU and Windows 11 ARM.
I'm wondering if there are any plans to release John the Ripper with native binaries compiled for Windows ARM64? I can see there is only Windows installer for x86 and x64. Note Windows 11, the only supported desktop version, is released only for x64 and ARM64. Thanks

Hi @martinsuchan. We have no such plans currently, but that's simply because we lack time for this project in general and we have many higher-priority tasks.

I'm afraid we don't even support making such builds now - we normally use Cygwin for the Windows builds, and our current Cygwin build targets assume x86 or x64.

Do you want to contribute this? Maybe setup automated builds like that in GitHub Actions in some way?

Also, our Windows x64 builds that we had in our CI setup under https://github.com/openwall/john-packages broke when Claudio André (who had set them up under his cloud accounts) quit the project (and Open Source in general, as I understand). That was a major loss for the community. So a possible new setup would ideally cover both x64 and ARM64.
