Max connections reached

Script causes (and reports) lots of "502 Access Denied (Maximum Connections Reached)" errors with my news server. My news server allows a max of 50 connections and I have NZBGet configured for 30 connections for the news server in questionn, so this shouldn't be happening.

Am also unclear what happens when there are connection failures, does this cause Completion script to think articles are missing and reject the NZB as it sees it is incomplete?

I have the same issue. Plus, I would find nzbget in a paused state for no reason I could find. I tried to pause/disable the completion extension but it kept running. Even after saving and restarting nzbget. Finally I uninstalled the completion extension and the issue went away. It's been off for about 2 weeks and I haven't had anymore issues. I've just been monitoring to see when a new release comes out and to see if anyone else reported issues similar. I use newshosting as my primary with 60 connections but I got the same error you did and often had to drop down to 30 connections to get that particular error to go away. My secondary, Usenet farm with block data mostly fails no matter what I set the number of connections to. Sorry I don't have time to contribute specific errors as I'm laid up ill at the moment.

Does it fail to connect entirely or are you getting specific error messages?

I'll have to reinstall completion. But as I recall...it just constantly fails. Like it errors out. I'll get details ASAP.

Regarding your "502 Access Denied (Maximum Connections Reached)" error, this occurs when your newsreader tries to open too many connections to the servers. Even though your NZBGet is configured for 30 connections and you're allowed 50, there are several potential causes for this issue:

Immediate Steps:

• Cancel any current tasks and wait until existing ones finish
• Quit NZBGet and relaunch it in about 10 minutes
• If the problem persists, restart your computer and modem, then wait another 10 minutes before trying again

Common Causes and Solutions:

1. Stale Connections: If you were disconnected from your ISP or NZBGet terminated improperly, the servers may need time to recognize that connections are no longer active.
2. Network Switching: Avoid switching networks while downloading. Connecting or disconnecting from a VPN during a download session can trigger this error.
3. Multiple Login Sessions: Your username might be logged in elsewhere. If you cannot determine where, change your password on our website, wait two minutes, and update the password in NZBGet.
4. Connection Allocation: Some newsreaders allow you to set aside connections for browsing while downloading. Ensure any reserved connections don't exceed 3, and that your total connection count (including reserved) doesn't exceed your subscription limit of 50.

As the script uses NZBGet to make the connection, maybe there is an underlying issue in NZBGet with how it manages connections causing this?
