New build need some help

I'm getting close with my build. I have it working except getting no temp readings. Tried my own pit boss probes and then bought new ones. Replaced my ADS1115 that I had from a previous project with new ones using the link in the docs. Still no joy.

@nebhead I also get an error trying to download logs. It shows a message saying server fault or server busy.

@weberbox I am using the V3.01 board. How do I enable display of the 3rd probe when I get them working.

Also what is the jumper for above the relay board pins?

Interesting. So, maybe let's get those logs manually. Can you SSH into your pi and go to the logs directory. If you are on the latest, it's likely at /usr/local/bin/pifire/logs

Grab the following logs:

control.err.log
control.out.log
webapp.err.log
webapp.out.log

Send them over and we'll see what's going on here.

Hmm... redis db seems to be failing. Can you type the following in ssh:

sudo apt install redis-server

Then maybe reboot the pi and see if that helps.

Yes sorry been quite busy myself. My granddaughter ended up having Covid so dealing with that. I will write up what mine look like and what else I've tried in the AM.

FYI - If you are still running into trouble, I was thinking maybe you could slip one of those ADS1115 modules into an envelope and send it my way. I can cover the postage.

While I have been busy with Covid and also putting up a New Gazebo (with 2000 parts and Chinese Instructions) I did try a few things. I also descended down debug hell for a while where everything you try makes things worse.

I soldered up a new board and also another Pi Zero W (1). I have an older ADS1115 from EBay 2016 pictured here.

It looks like the new ones (which look like yours) . I can't read any markings even with a magnifying glass.

So after a new build this morning it seems to be working fine. I will hookup the old stuff and see if that also works or I have something wonky.

So I'm good for right now and thanks for all the help and patience.
