Thanks so much for developing this. Working great at my end.

Would you know how to make the search filter start searching only after 4 letters minimum?

Secondly, is it possible to have the search filter only search the 1st column of the CSV?

@jacketmargiela Hi, Thank you.
To make any changes in table searching, you should change the code of jquery.dataTables.min.js.
At first, go to js folder of this module and open jquery.dataTables.min.js file.

Case 1) search filter starts searching only after 4 letters minimum:

1.Find this code:
if(filter.length!=0) (should be in line 53, in the lookuptable function).
2. Change:
if(filter.length!=0)
to
if(filter.length>3)
to start searching for words with minimum 4 letters.

Case 2) search filter only searches the 1st column of the CSV:

1. Remove Lines 55-70 (line 55 is started with a for loop and line 70 has a closed bracket)
2. Place following code in Lines 55-70 instead of previous code:

for (i = 1; i < tr.length; i++) { td = tr[i].getElementsByTagName("td")[0]; if (td) { if (td.innerHTML.toUpperCase().indexOf(filter) > -1) { tr[i].style.display = ""; } else { tr[i].style.display = "none"; } } jQuery("#csvpagination a").remove(".btn"); }

Thanks for your reply.

I managed to get the filter to search after 4 letters minimum, however it didn't work with:
if(filter.length!>3)
instead I used: if(filter.length>3) and it worked. Not sure why this is the case.

For the filter to only search on the 1st column of the CSV, it is also working however when i clear my filter, the table headers are now removed from view. Is there a way to have the table headers always display?

Hi @mostafa272 ,

I think I may have found a solution to always display the table header (or first row of the table):
$("#csvtable tbody tr:first").addClass('active');

Then I added CSS:
#csvtable tr.active { display: contents !important; }

Let me know what you think or if you have a better solution.

@jacketmargiela Thanks for informing. You're right. I had some mistakes in that code:
case1) As you said, condition should be if( filter.length > 3)
case2) for loop should start from 1 (change i=0 to i=1 in for loop).
I revised it. Please test it again. It should work now.
