Basic Authorization

Does this plugin support API's using Basic Authentication?

I'd like to know this too. I've tried using Basic authentication with my CCTV NVR but it doesn't work.

I've just used the Website option in Stream Deck to send the url and provided I don't tick GET Request in Background it works. If this is ticked it doesn't. URL is:
http://username:password@10.22.33.120/cgi-bin/split.cgi?action=setMode&channel=0&mode=split9&group=0

Any ideas why this is not working with the API request plugin?
