System allows for scheduling multiple lessons for the same student or different student only 1 minute between end time and start time. Creates unrealistic scheudling in a real tutor environment.

add_lesson allows adding of lessons which are too close together (1 min apart) which could lead to scheduling mistakes

I think it would be good to add a time constraint as it is currently possible to schedule lessons too close together. I understand that it could be a workaround for group lessons since it is not added yet but it might lead to possible mistakes when scheduling.

Steps:

Result:
Math, chemistry and history lessons scheduled 1 minute apart

Expected:
Have a time constraint (45 minutes apart?) to ensure that the user does not accidentally schedule lessons too closely.

Reason for disagreement: While I agree this is a duplicate of the original issue, I disagree with the team’s response that this is “not supported in the current version.” The team's claim that "this is not supported in the current version" is not backed up by the User Guide. In fact, the UG explicitly mentions that times like 15:00 and 15:01 are treated as different, which suggests they're aware of and have implemented this behavior intentionally.

This actually indicates that the system deliberately treats 15:00 and 15:01 as different times, not as a bug but as an intended feature. However, nowhere does the UG explicitly state that there should be a minimum time gap between lessons (like requiring at least 30 or 45 minutes between lessons).

There is no indication in either the Developer Guide or User Guide that the system prevents or does not support adding lessons that are too close together (e.g., 1 minute apart). In fact, both documents imply that any lessons with different times, regardless of proximity, are permitted. Therefore, the behavior observed is not a duplicate of a known issue already acknowledged in the documentation and should be re-evaluated as a valid feature flaw.

As seen in my screenshot, two math lessons were scheduled only 1 minute apart (Alice at 15:00 and Brian at 15:02 on the same day), suggesting no built-in enforcement of lesson duration or buffer time. A real-world user could mistakenly believe these are separate valid slots when in fact this leads to confusion or overbooking. Given that this behavior causes occasional inconvenience and compromises usability, it fits the rubric for Medium severity
