FR: More options for documents view

Right now the only way Mingo supports viewing documents is tabular rows.

That really isn't useful to me, since many of my collections have many columns, and I care more about seeing many columns per document w/o scrolling sideways, than I do seeing many documents represented a single line for each.
Expanding each document manually doesn't really satisfy this need.

Right now this is the only thing preventing me from using Mingo.
Otherwise it really knocks it out of the park compared to competitors, but I can't switch to it without such these basic views.

Compass, Studio 3T and others support things like JSON view, list view, in addition to tabular view.

I hope you guys add it.

Could you send me an example document and describe how exactly you prefer seeing them? Screenshot would also be helpful.

We'll be able to think about the possible viewing options better. I'll take a look at the options competition has.

They also have tabular, which is currently the only option in Mingo.

The main problem with tabular is that it is a very specific perspective - it assumes you want to look at your data as rows rather than documents.

I'd like to have tabular as an option in addition to the others, rather than the only & default option.

The only difference in mingo's view and the Tree view you mentioned is that you want to have all documents "expanded to level 1" immediately? Or is there anything else in the view that makes it different?

Basically the same applies to JSON view, there's very little difference in tree and json view, I think.

I'm trying to get to the bottom of how exactly you use these other views so we can implement something useful, but avoiding creating something without added value.
