The thinking process in GitHub Copilot's chat agent automatically collapses after responses, making it difficult for users to review the reasoning steps. Add a configurable option in settings to disable automatic collapsing, allowing users to keep the thinking process expanded for better transparency and debugging.

Need to see the process without having to click the folds all the time, it's very annoying. If at least it was keyboard friendly, but pointer-based expansion is extremely annoying!

Agreed, its not cool you have to click any time to understand mindset if your not in moment

there used to be a setting for this - as we revisit how thinking works, i think we can add this back under the thinkingStyle settings! will keep you all updated once that is in place
