You should have the ability to build a gun from the ground up with parts which can be built out of different materials. Based on the materials used in each part and what parts are placed on the gun, the function of the gun will be different
Eg. You can put an energy receiver on a pistol frame and then you'll be able to put pistol or energy parts on the gun, etcetera"
