Depending on the risk you'd want to take, you could actually use it in prod. However, before the 1.0 release, there are no guarantees whatsoever that things won't break.

Maybe look at it in a different way: just start using it, and when things don't fit a fairly common scenario, create an issue, or even better, a pull request. We actually need input from as many people as possible in this stage.
