Handle syntax errors when creating the getter

If there is a syntax error then creating the getter will fail. This leads to a thrown error today, but it should be handled in a robust way that results in an error, but not a complete failing of the entire swap.

Creating the error message should clone the node without children and outerHTML it to get a string representation of the problem node.
