How do I configure speed or enable instant slide swipes for slide mode?

I want to know how to use the features in PR #4912 to enable so my slides in slide mode or some of the slides at least transition immediately, as the content is overlapping and just new content is added to the next slide.

Click on the expand icon on the right:

Then, go to Configuration > Deck > Transition > None:

The expand panel is hard to find and perhaps not the most descriptive icon. We can improve the user interface as well. Thank you for filing the issue
