Hi,

I saw your project and and I'm working on a spotify connect handler for a Home Assistant Integration. I'm trying to figure out a way of enabling blob calculation based on accessToken instead of username and password. I wanted to check if you have any experience with that. Trying to revierse engineer the process right now and kind of stuck on the blob part.

Sorry for the late response. I based my code heavily on this repository. It might have some useful bits, but I personally don't have any experince with token based authentication.

I'm going to archive this repository at one point since as you probably heard spotify removed support for password based authentication.

Did you have any luck with that? I swapped my setup to avoid zeroconf from command line, but if you have a working script I'd add that to the archivation notice.

Hi @maraid,

Just wanted to say thank you for the link and the info. After some more digging, I was able to find some details about the different auth_type and found that Spotify Token authentication is 0x04. I was able to make a valid authentication using a user token today.

I have to do some modification to make it work inside my project, so I wanted to verify (even if your licencing allows it, I still prefer to ask) if its ok if I make a copy and modify the code for my own code base. I would mention you and your project in the readme and the source code obviously.
