when i tried it with my friend he can see my screen tho in remote play i cant see him join as a a player. So naturally he can only view it as broadcast and not play the game

Also having this issue, we're both using steam decks, he can see the stream, steam itself recognizes his steam deck controller but he has no input, tried in gaming mode, desktop mode, gamepad mode, nothing
