Swift/S3 multi buckets?

Would it be possible to implement multi buckets usage as nextcloud does?

It would be awesome to be able to use multiple buckets linagora/Twake#639

Hi,
I think it is maybe doable with some efforts, but for I know I do not get the need. Have you millions of files stored in your bucket ? Do you have some metrics to evaluate how slow it is ?

Hey,

sadly I don't have any stats about it but we have a bucket that is about 2 TB with multiple millions of objects. Because it's running on HDD's it takes about 10-20 seconds just to start retrieving one file.

The issue wouldn't be present with SSD indexing but sadly it's not really possible yet.

At least you can change the bucket name in the configuration file, LinShare is storing the bucket name used to store each document in the database. So you can have manually multiple buckets.
