Install failed

Hello,

I'm following the steps to use the package manager to install besp using this URL: https://laduplessis.github.io/besp/package.xml, but after I add it and hit 'Install/Upgrade,' I get the following error:

"Install failed because: java.security.cert.CertificateException: No subject alternative DNS name matching github-releases-githubusercontent.com found."

I believe this is related to the issue here: CompEvol/beast2#948 but I cannot figure out the URL to add for the workaround suggested by @rbouckaert to use the zip file in the CompEvol/packages repository instead. Could someone help me out?

Judging from the package file you are right that this is suffering from issue CompEvol/beast2#948.
If the package is only available in the github release area then you can install the package by hand:

• download the besp zip file from https://github.com/laduplessis/besp/releases/download/0.1.0/besp.v0.1.0.zip,
• create a BESP folder in the package directory
• unzip the file there and
• use BEAUti to reset the package path
