Tracking major-version dependency updates found during a dependency freshness audit. Each requires evaluating breaking changes before bumping.

@types/node is being left alone (no action planned). taze is a standalone devDependency CLI (not imported by any code), so it carried no API-surface risk and was bumped directly rather than left for a design discussion.

Re-checked as of 2026-08-21: no change. All three packages remain at the versions listed above; no newer majors have been published upstream since this issue was filed. Two rounds of patch/minor updates have landed since (#768, #775) — this table is still current for the remaining majors.
