Crashing Blender 5.1.2 after ~7 minutes on Linux every time

This is different to the mirrored issue however it may be related as there was one successful attempt immediately after installing the add-on. After that I realised I forgot to mirror so I attempted to redo with mirror y enabled (preprocess was checked though) which caused the first crash. Subsequently every attempt crashes even with no mirroring.
