I was wondering if you can give some guidelines on how I can go about designing an IMU-optimization for nimblephysics.

maybe some rough sketches because nimblephysics is based on 3d-position whereas in opensim the optimization is done in terms of rotation matrices.
One idea is to try to convert the IMU-rotation data into a 3d-position by including anthropometric data.
Additional context
I am interested in this extension because nimblephysics is used in the mocap-optimization and so I want to get a direct comparison for our IMU study using the same optimizer.
