Without turning DReptalk into a tweet platfrom, it felt like these kind of publications could be something made public in a somewhat attaching it (maybe even subject to discusssion/reactions) onto their DRepTalk profile. Maybe some kind of "status updates" or "temporary announcement".

How would that look like? If you want more than just links (if you need content) you have to fetch it via the X API.

Unfortunately I know from experience that’s not cheap.

(apart from the X content policy,which likely is also problematic but I don't know)

Hi! Yes, I've also looked at fetching X content for gov.45b.io and discovered how unviable their API would be.

But actually, my suggestion was that we allow these kind of announcements to be published as DRepTalk native-content itself.

^^ By "these kind of publications" I meant the need a DRep may have, that would be met by DRepTalks new "Publish [DRep] announcement"-like feature.
Maybe the "Announcement" could be a new instance of a typical "Discussion" post, but that would be "Pinned" to the DRep's profile. You'll know best. :)
It would be relevant that the DRep can then obtain a link to that announcement, that he can share on socials.
