First, thanks for this, this worked very easily for me (uvx padctl on Arch Linux, nothing to configure 🎉).
Would it be possible to add a few presets for the speed in the config file, for example that can be triggered with the 1-9 key, with slow ramping up and down between speeds? This would make it easier to reach the two speeds that I mostly use. Going from 1.0 to 2.8 takes way too many key presses to my taste :)
