Setters for Block interface

It would be great if we could set fields on blocks via the block interface to limit casting + switch-case statements when working with update APIs.

hey @pierce-m, I'm planning to work on this request of yours, do you have examples of you using switch-case statements?

I just started inspecting the code, so it will be handy to see the example. I'm trying to understand the codebase, then I think I'll start working on it.
