Editing venue name results in an "An error has occurred" message (and doesn't seem to affect the name)

Repro instructions:

1. Go to a "venue" view (e.g., http://somelab09.cci.fsu.edu:8080/ScholarMap/entity/view?name=ACM%20Conference%20on%20Human%20Factors%20in%20Computing%20Systems)
2. Click "edit"
3. Type the new thing (e.g., "ACM/SIGCHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI)"
4. The error occurs

Weird things:

• After you get this error, if you go back and try to edit the name again, the new name shows, but the error still occurs
• If you go back to the full venue list, the name doesn't appear changed.

(Not sure if it's an issue about bad characters in the name?)
