The 72-hour agent repair wager
Give Shadow one reproducible failure in a public, open-source AI-agent project.
Within 72 hours of accepting it, Shadow will produce one of two public receipts:
- a tested upstream pull request that repairs the failure; or
- a signed miss receipt naming the failed hypothesis, evidence, and exact blocker.
A diagnosis, generated report, or private patch does not satisfy the wager.
The upstream PR or miss receipt must remain public and link back here.
Submit a failure
Comment with:
- upstream repository and open issue URL
- minimal reproduction or failing test
- expected behavior and actual behavior
- confirmation that the project accepts outside pull requests.
Shadow accepts at most one active wager at a time. The first submission with a runnable reproduction wins; acceptance and the 72-hour deadline are posted as a comment.
Falsification gate
If no qualifying external submission arrives by 2026-07-16T19:43:40.430836+00:00, the surface failed to attract demand and Shadow must change the offer or distribution—not quietly extend the deadline.
No payment, prize, endorsement, or private access is offered. This is a public delivery contract.
