From 523f56c41aac163a2ce882589aa3475aee7c6d1e Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Amit Patnaik Date: Sat, 18 Apr 2026 08:34:14 +0530 Subject: [PATCH] Rename PyPI package to vera-clerk (vera-ai was taken) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit The name vera-ai on PyPI belonged to an unrelated Bootstrap-installer project at 0.12.9. PyPI is first-come-first-served, so we ship under vera-clerk — carries the "clerk discipline" tagline and is consistent with the brand. Repo name, CLI command (vera), and GitHub identity unchanged. Only the PyPI distribution name changes. - pyproject.toml name: vera-clerk - README badge + install line: pipx install vera-clerk - launch/POSTS.md, launch/BACKUP-CHANNELS.md, launch/READY-TO-PASTE.md, launch/ship.sh: vera-ai -> vera-clerk everywhere --- README.md | 2 +- launch/BACKUP-CHANNELS.md | 4 ++-- launch/POSTS.md | 12 ++++++------ launch/READY-TO-PASTE.md | 2 +- launch/ship.sh | 8 ++++---- pyproject.toml | 2 +- 6 files changed, 15 insertions(+), 15 deletions(-) diff --git a/README.md b/README.md index 6e0ec95..b0d91ae 100644 --- a/README.md +++ b/README.md @@ -1,7 +1,7 @@ # Vera [![CI](https://github.com/iamitp/vera/actions/workflows/ci.yml/badge.svg)](https://github.com/iamitp/vera/actions/workflows/ci.yml) -[![PyPI](https://img.shields.io/pypi/v/vera-ai.svg)](https://pypi.org/project/vera-ai/) +[![PyPI](https://img.shields.io/pypi/v/vera-clerk.svg)](https://pypi.org/project/vera-clerk/) [![License: MIT](https://img.shields.io/badge/License-MIT-blue.svg)](LICENSE) **AI with clerk discipline.** diff --git a/launch/BACKUP-CHANNELS.md b/launch/BACKUP-CHANNELS.md index f693469..7921ad6 100644 --- a/launch/BACKUP-CHANNELS.md +++ b/launch/BACKUP-CHANNELS.md @@ -64,7 +64,7 @@ too easily, hedged without saying so, or claimed without a source. ## The deeper path -For power users, a CLI (pipx install vera-ai) adds: a second +For power users, a CLI (pipx install vera-clerk) adds: a second independent model as auditor (not self-critique), hard rule enforcement (banned phrases fail the turn, model regenerates), and on-disk markdown memory you can grep and sync. @@ -162,7 +162,7 @@ on your terminal, no talking-head, voiceover or text overlay. 1.
