Infinite loop in "Device renamed - restart required"

After updating to 2.1.2, I'm endlessly getting two notifications.
After restarting HA, they popped up again. The Windows client is also updated. I tried to remove the device from the Hass agent and re-add it, but it didn't stop the notifications.

In my case, deleting and re-adding the devices does work, but only temporarily. I've disabled them for the time being.

Same here. One PC showing twice under two names, I presume because I renamed it? Reloading HASS as directed unfortunately does not resolve.

I had some old machines listed. Deleted them in Hass,Agent and MQTT but HA keeps trying to readd them and even though I ignore them the notification for restart repair message persists.

I had the same problem with 2 devices permanently needing to be repaired.

But I followed the steps in this post which seems to have fixed it.

I solved it, more or less similar to what was mentioned in the previous message. I completely removed HASS.Agent from Home Assistant, then I went into MQTT Explorer using the same connection details I had configured for HASS (IP, port, and make sure to check the username and password before deleting). I deleted all the topics (since you can see they were duplicated), then I reinstalled HASS.Agent in Home Assistant, restarted, and that was it — the message didn’t appear anymore!

In my scenario I'm trying to use hass agent on multiple accounts on the same PC so both can see notifications broadcasted. Not sure if there's a better way to do what I'm trying to do.

as someone using it but not worried about the history/etc not sure if it broke anything anyway with the devices/entities, I fixed it simply by adding on MQTT explorer, in there opening up the hass.agent folder and deleting the devices I had and then restarting HA
