data corruption in this module?

In yaml header:

Note the ­

without the cache module the html output is ok, and the function of ­ is working

IF I enable the cache module I get this in the output like this:

hottentottenten­tentoonstelling

and the function of ­ is lost in html.

Looking at the code I don't understand where it goes wrong.

Can you clear the cache and try again?
The HTML should not be changed in any way by this plugin. It just caches the output HTML that would usually be sent to the client.

She ­ is a html Tag for optionally break the word at this position.
do you have another plugin that inserts this?

I have cleared the cache, same issue.
I have no other plugins active.
Pico version 2.1.4, the latest version.
If I remove this plugin and clear the cache the problem is not there.
I can'd determine where this issue is generated.

This mechanism of communication is interfering with my problem.
