Please find a quick suggestion to improve the nice plugin experience for new users which may have the following issue.
Issue :
Some users have troubles when using DataPlotly. They follow the correct procedure but the plugin returns "blankplots" (no data plot appears, just the axes).
Solution (the one of issue DataPlotly not plotting. #85)
Avoid the use of profile in QGIS but create a one in QGIS (Main Menu Bar/Settings/User profiles/New profile.
Note that you will have to install the plugin that you already installed in the profile in this new profile if you want to use them in the same time.
Recommandation :
Add this information in the plugin user guide/installation help.
