We have no unified way of benchmarking

Different applications (such as Julia, Magma, Mathematica) use different timing and memory measurement methods.
If we want to compare efficiency of algorithms between different languages we need a language independent way of measuring time and memory usage

The time command in bash can be useful for timing

I will do the benchmarking between applications myself :).
This way you don't need to learn bash scripting.

We still need a method for benchmarking the Julia code.
