3.7 Hide grid columns in list view

You can hide specific columns from a child table's list view (the static, read-only row rendering) on a per-grid basis. This is different from set_column_disp, which mutates the shared field metadata and leaks the change across all grids using the same child doctype.

set_column_disp_in_list_view(fieldname, show) keeps the visibility change scoped to that one grid only.

Method signature:

grid.set_column_disp_in_list_view(fieldname, show)

Parameter	Type	Description

show	boolean	true to show the column, false to hide it

When to use this vs set_column_disp:

• Use set_column_disp_in_list_view when you want to hide a column only in the grid list view of a specific grid, without affecting editable rows or other grids of the same child doctype on the same form.
• Use set_column_disp when you want to hide a column from the editable row dialog — but note it mutates the shared docfield meta, so the change applies globally to all grids using that child doctype.
