Process

Think follows METHOD. See that repo's README for the full cycle loop, backlog operations, and playback discipline.

Local conventions

  • Cycles are numbered sequentially starting at 0001.
  • Historical milestones (M0–M5) and their retrospectives predate METHOD and remain in docs/retrospectives/ and docs/design/ as the archival record. New work uses METHOD structure.
  • Design docs for active cycles live in docs/design/<cycle>/.
  • Retrospectives for completed cycles live in docs/method/retro/<cycle>/.

Guardrails

These are standing constraints inherited from the original design doctrine. They are not backlog items — they are boundaries.

  • No embeddings or clustering before capture habit is proven.
  • No dashboard-first UX.
  • No tagging, ontology, or classification that pressures the user during capture.
  • No autonomous reflection narration.
  • No proactive AI interruptions during capture.
  • No hosted collaborative thinking (deferred indefinitely).
  • No public sharing surface (deferred indefinitely).
