TTS isnt working in the background anymore?

I used to have DankChat open all day in the background reading chat to me (TTS) but seems that with the new update it doesn't do that anymore... 😭
(and it disabled/forgot I had TTS enabled but I enabled it back already)

If I open DankChat it starts reading but when I switch to another app or home screen it stops immediately.
It didnt use to do that. Used to work in the background.

Damn, for some reason I thought it only worked in foreground. Thanks for reporting, should be an easy fix.

Hey! I noticed there seems to exist a bug....
Sometimes TTS gets super low while the other apps have normal volume.

I dont know yet what causes that but I will keep investigating.
It takes a while to happen and I've set all volume settings to max and force closed and reponed the app but didnt work.
My only current fix is to restart the entire phone...

Interesting, can you share the tts settings you are using at the moment?

If you still manage to reproduce the bug it would be interesting if the bug also occurs without the audio ducking option

It was fixed but now the opposite happens 😂 (kinda)

Now if Im listening to something (youtube) it lowers the volume to read TTS and then sometimes doesnt increase the volume up again or a podcast (on Pocket casts) it pauses to read TTS and then doesnt unpause sometimes...

Im not even sure if it is a bug on the app side or the OS side.... you use the OS TTS right? or your own? 🤔
