  • FINOS Project leads are responsible for observing the FINOS guidelines for running project meetings. Project maintainers can find additional resources in the FINOS Maintainers Cheatsheet.

  • All participants in FINOS project meetings are subject to the LF Antitrust Policy, the FINOS Community Code of Conduct and all other FINOS policies.

  • (5 min) Convene, roll call, welcome new people.
  • Display FINOS Antitrust Policy summary slide
  • Review Meeting Notices (see above)
  • (5 min) Approve previous meeting minutes
  • (5 min) FINOS kdb+ Project charter refresh
  • (20 min) KX / kdb+ goings-on
    • KX module system available in house at KX in kdbx
      • the details of what makes up a module and naming conventions of modules were discussed. (default file loaded is ini.q for a module)
      • does not have a built in way to load a specific script from a module(MS usecase)
      • packaging in the roadmap but currently solely the import system is what is being worked on
      • HOMEWORK: try this out to provide feedback (module stuff coming soon)
    • pros and cons of the personal licenses discussed
      • pros - many, it makes the community edition available to all
      • cons - all does not include people in firms that cannot agree to the personal contracts on firm systems or download anything. Meaning there isn't currently a route for MS to try kdbx
    • general kdbx questions - plan is it's the one consolidated KX project. traditional kdb and insights core all rolling into it. New features going into it going forward.
