Cannot "quick save" metallic maps

Trying this version because with the normal version I cannot open any files...

I am able to open files now, but I cannot save a metallic map.

When quicksave > destination > save - nothing is actually saved.

Is this a common issue?

I actually found the file > quick save option, which does seem to work - did not see this before.
